Dear Parents,

Looking into February, we think of Valentine’s Day and friendships. Let’s use this month to teach and model for our children what friendship looks like?  My mother used to always say, “You have to be a friend to have a friend!” Friendship starts in us. A friend is trustworthy, loyal, accepting, REAL, full of empathy and compassion, and a listener. These traits are Christ-like qualities that will build a life full of friends. One thing that works here at LABS is having lots of friends!  The world pushes BFF’s but let’s be stand outs in today’s world! When we are exclusive and have only one friend, we miss out on many wonderful opportunities when we can have a BUNCH of friends! Let’s collect some friends this month by growing these traits in ourselves!

Spiritual Truth for February…
Salvation is by grace and not works.

8For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.  Ephesians 2:8-9

Character Trait: Honesty
