Los Altos Brethren School

Dear Parents,

At Los Altos Brethren School, we strive to help our students grow and develop in the way God intended for each one.  Proverbs tells us that we are to “Train up a child in the way he or she should go…” We believe that this acknowledges the individuality of each personality. As we keep in mind the children’s individual characteristics, we also take into consideration the similarities of each one. Learning to be respectful of others and the world around us and in turn be respected is a trait built for a lifetime.

As we continue our focus on character development, take a look at the list on the back of the newsletter. Connect with the family in a way that allows every member to participate together.  Allow your student(s) to help the family by doing some jobs individually and together that brings joy and intimacy. We build this dependence on each other to “get the job done” and appreciate each other when ‘many hands” make the work light! Not to mention how it feels to look back and see a job well done! This is an incredible way to grow RESPECT AND OBEDIENCE!

The months of January and February focus on Respect, Obedience, and Honesty. Let’s work together to polish our character! What a great way to begin the New Year. Happy 2017!
